New Family pics

We have been long overdue for a complete family picture. Our friends Sam and Wendee used their sweet skills and camera. Kendall wasn't in the best of moods but we just crossed our fingers and hoped we would get at least one good picture:)

Yay! All done taking pictures!

Ancestry's Christmas Party

We went to Ancestry.com's Christmas party at the new Convention Center in Provo. It was 1940's theme (because the 1940's census came out this year) and we decided to dress up. Matt dressed up as a golfer (ideas from the movie The Legend of Bagger Vance) and I tried piecing together an outfit from DI.
It was a lot of fun since a majority of the people there dressed up too. There was lots of food, Casino games, a magician, a comedian, and an awesome live band. Matt and I also entered a video into a contest and we got 3rd place and won $250 bones! Boo yah!

Halloween festivities

Halloween gets progressively more fun each year with kids:) This Halloween had PERFECT weather for trick-or-treating. We were super excited to get Kendall knocking on stranger's doors for candy!

Kendall first helped her dad pick out designs to carve in our pumpkin. (Thanks Mom and Dad Deighton for the pumkin!)

And here is the final result. Cool, huh?

I dressed up Kendall in an owl costume that I tried to re-create from a picture I saw off pinterest. It turned out pretty good but Kendall was not a fan of wearing it (despite the smile you see in the picture). I may or may not have bribed her with lots of candy to get her to wear it.
Matt took Kendall trick-or-treating around our neighborhood. We taught her how to say "trick-or-treat" and at first she would only whisper it but she got better at each door. But apparently we need to teach her what the "good" candy is because when given the choice, she would bypass the Snickers, Twix, Milky Way, etc and pick Dots or a Jolly Rancher or an eraser.......oh well.  Matt also said that there were a few doors where no one answered. Kendall would become quite distraught and look back at Matt, raise her arms, and ask "twick-o-tweet" as if she was asking "where the heck are these people? Don't they know that they are supposed to give me candy when I knock?!" Ha ha, I love that little girl!

Our chubby little football. I love that lil' guy!

Mini me?

So I never really thought Kendall looked too much like me when she was a wee little baby, but the older she gets the more I think she looks like me. The pictures go back and forth between my pics and Kendall's pics. What do you think?

An escape to Montana

So, I went up to Montana for just about 2 weeks. That was a much needed excape from the world and some good time that I got to spend with my parents. I got to catch up with some old friends, visited the ranch, helped mom declutter, got some sweet stuff at the free store, made Kendall's Halloween costume, stocked up on some Uncle Dan's ranch.....but mostly tried to sit back and relax.

Here is Cole giving a nice big crooked smile just like his mommy. He is really starting to coo and laugh and its just so stinkin' adorable.

We've got some awesome "Kendall art" on the chalkboard.

Kendall enjoyed helping Grandpa B set up some Halloween decorations. (My dad is REALLY into Halloween!)

Then, Matt got to come in from his PR conference in San Francisco and spend a few days in the great MT. We went to Famous Dave's, helped out on the ranch, went to some cool antique stores, etc.

I just couldn't stay away from those baby cows:)

Its about time we got a complete family picture:)

Feed the birds

We went to a farm up in Salt Lake with some friends. Kendall loved chasing the geese and ducks with her friend Lincoln.

They fed an entire loaf of bread to those birds!
I had to get a picture of our curious little girl. Ha Ha!

Here's a flashback to a year ago:) Her hair is the most obvious change.

Here are some extras. Kendall is doing "tummy time" with Cole....showing him how its done:)

Such a sad face on the little guy....
Kendall might have a slight obsession with Elmo!
