October has surely been interesting for us. We didn't have internet for nearly 3 weeks and oh my goodness, I thought I was going to die. Its all those little things that you don't think about until you aren't able to look it up...like, for instance, your doctor's phone number, or recipes for dinner, or what channel the BYU football game is on, plus a zillion more. Well, life is all good now because we have a wireless router again and now I can look up whatever I want, whenever I want.
Our first big story is how Kendall locked herself in the bathroom. That is right, Kendall locked herself in the bathroom and it took us 45 crazy long minutes to get her out. How, you ask? Let me tell.
We were hanging out with our friends that live upstairs from us and Kendall was doing her thing, playing with toys and roaming around. When suddenly I hear a muffled Kendall-cry in the distance. I wasn't too worried because Kendall loves to open and close doors and sometimes she'll trap herself in a room, so we just follow the wimpers and let her back out. I start walking down the hall and sure enough, she is trapped in the bathroom. I start to open the door but it stops with only 1/2 inch or so gap in the door. It turns out, Kendall walked in the bathroom, shut the door, and then opened the top drawer in the cabinet (another habit of hers), prohibiting any way for us to get in.

We start frantically gathering tools and whatever else and shove them in the crack of the door or underneath attempting to close that cabinet drawer. Meanwhile, Kendall is crying in the dark bathroom. In attempts to soothe her, we shove some cookies under the door and shine a flashlight so she can see them. Then we see little fingers grab the cookies and she stops crying for a minute or so until it is gone. After a lot of trial and error, our friend Joe finally took one of his shotgun cleaning rods and bent it 90 degrees. He shoved it underneath the door, and was able to close that cabinet drawer and finally open the bathroom door. Poor Kendall had tears mixed with cookie crumbs all down her face and was gasping between cries. Traumatic for both baby and mom.

In other news, Matt bought a motorcycle. You heard me, a motorcycle. He wanted a fixer-upper, so he bought a 1981 Kawasaki 440 off of KSL for $350. It didn't run so he has been stripping it apart and fixing this and that. He has been learning a ton which is what he wanted but at the same time, he just wants to go ride it. I don't particularily like the idea of Matt on a motorcycle so I'm trying to focus on one thing at a time. I will upload pictures once it gets put back together, because as of now, it doesn't look much like a motorcycle.
Kendall is growing like a weed. She is climbing on all the sofas and chairs in the house. (She hasn't fallen yet either:) She has become a picky eater lately, which is super annoying. One day she will eat bananas and the next, she'll gag like she's going to throw up if you attempt to feed her any. Her top 2 teeth have finally popped through, making a grand total of 4 teeth. Here's some fun extras.
Trying on daddy's hat.
Playing with music ear buds.
